To date we have awarded 200 QOV to Island Veterans and have completed 243 QOV. The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover ALL combat service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. QOV Quilters had a special mission and that is to Award a QOV to all Anderson Island Veterans and current Service members when possible. We currently have 16 members and 12 of the original 22 quilters that work creating quilts. The Anderson Island Quits of Valor quilters had their first meeting in July 2013 and had 22 quilters join. The quilts are created with love as a tangible “thank you” from quilters across the country for the sacrifices and service of these recipients.
